Town Starts Work on Two New Roundabouts
Expect closures on Walt Miller Road and Needlebrush Parkway.
The town started work Tuesday on two roundabouts meant to ease congestion in busy parts of Mount Pleasant. Here's what you should expect:
Walt Miller Road Closure
Walt Miller Road will closed temporarily at the intersection of Mathis Ferry Road from May 28, 2013 through August 1, 2013. The road closure is necessary to construct a new roundabout at the intersection of Mathis Ferry Road, Seventh Ave. and Walt Miller Road.
The roadwork is necessary to accomodate the new River's Walk Apartments, which is slated to open to residents this week.
