Towne Centre Lighting Ceremony Set for Nov. 17
'Lights Up' event sets off holiday season.
Mount Pleasant Towne Centre will flip the switch on its Christmas lights at theannual “Lights Ups” tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 17.
The East Cooper Baptist Church Choir and Orchestra will perform at 5:15p.m. The tree lighting ceremony will be located in front of the Belk Department store and begin at 6 p.m.
“This is the official Towne Centre kick-off to the Holiday season!” said Kristi Tolley, the Marketing Manager for the Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre. “Join Mount Pleasant Towne Centre for a special holiday light show, free horse drawn carriage rides, giveaways galore and a sneak peak Santa appearance.”

People can enter for their chance to win the chance to “Flip the Switch” at the Lights Up event and set Mount Pleasant Towne Centre aglow in the holiday spirit. The winner will also receive a prize package valued at over $450, including a $250 Towne Centre gift card. Register by Nov. 14 at WEZL.com.
As part of the event, WineStyles will offer holiday wines-by-the-glass and the first 500 attendees will receive a free $5 gift card from Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. Multiple gift cards from shopping center stores will be given out during the evening.

Mount Pleasant Mayor Billy Swails, Santa and TJ from the WEZL 103.5 FM morning show will be joined by a local family in helping to light the tree as part of this holiday event. This event is free and open to the public.
