Poof. Another one bites the dust. Tropical Storm Dorian went from a storm, to depression and then disappeared Sunday.
It was the fourth named storm of the 2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
As of Sunday morning, the tropics were clear and no storms were on the immediate horizon.Â
Here's the original update from Saturday morning:
Tropical Storm Dorian is likely to die out over the next 36 hours, according to the latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center.
Here's the latest in the forecast for the fourth tropical storm of the 2013 Atlantic Hurricane season:
"Vertical wind shear ... as well as dry mid and upper level air mass ... should cause additional weakening, with the cyclone degenerating to a remnant low by 36 hours," forecasters wrote for the 5 a.m. Saturday update.
The storm could hang on for up to 72 hours, forecasters suggested. But in both scenarios, once the storm dissipates, there is little chance it will reform into an organized storm.
