Vickery's to Re-Open Friday after Kitchen Fire
No one injured in Saturday evening fire.

Vickery's on Shem Creek will re-open by Friday evening following a Saturday evening kitchen fire.Â
Here's the notice to customers posted on the restaurant's Facebook page:
As some of you may know, we had a small fire here at Vickery's on Shem Creek Saturday night. No one was injured, and it was a minor fire. We are in the process of cleaning up and doing some repairs and construction, but we hope to be re-opening Friday night for happy Hour with a limited menu.
As all of you probably know, this is a hurry up and wait process, filled with re-inspections and certifications, etc., involving many separate companies and people. We will do our best to get re-opened as soon as possible with a better and badder Vix!
Vickery's is one of two restaurants on the western bank of Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant. The restaurant is typically open from noon until 1 a.m. The Shark Bar at Vickery's stays open until 2 a.m.
