When Will The Rain End?

Forecast has some good news for water-soaked Lowcountry.

After three straight days of rain, the forecast is looking up for much of the Lowcountry, but you'll have to endure a wet Wednesday to get see a break in the awful conditions.

Forecasters expect wet conditions throughout Wednesday, mirroring patterns seen on Monday and Tuesday, but by the evening, the rain should dissipate.

"Showers and thunderstorms likely today, especially this morning," writes WCBD-TV meteorologist Josh Marthers. "Highs will be near 70. A clearing sky is expected tonight with lows in the lower to middle 40s."

By Thursday, conditions should clear and we could have sunny conditions for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

"Our wet weather pattern continues ... Wednesday, but by Valentine's Day on Thursday, sunny and drier weather will return," wrote Live 5 News meteorologist Bill Walsh.

Weeekend forecasts indicate sunny conditions with temperatures in the high 50s. On Monday and Tuesday, just more than three inches of rain was recorded at the Charleston International Airport, according to tne National Weather Service.
