- Roca Roja Cantina has created a holiday-themed restaurant to help benefit Myrtle Beach youth. The second floor of the location has been transformed into Chi Chi's Wonderland. The special space will be illuminated with over 1,000 holiday lights, and will serve themed cocktails. A portion of the proceeds will go to Sea Have For Youth. (wpde.com)
- The Myrtle Beach Police Department has arrested 10 people involved with a shoplifting ring. Over the course of a multiple-day operation, officers were able to identify the shoplifters by observing their behavior at various retail stores. Officers were able to identify and recover over $90,000 worth of stolen merchandise. The investigation is ongoing. (WMBF)
- The general manager for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans has been been named Baseball America's 2022 Executive of the Year. Winner Kristin Call has the distinction of being the only female general manager in the Carolina League. Call is in her 10th year with the Pelican front office. She accepted the award on behalf of her entire staff. (WBTW)
