• The Biggest Country Music Festivals Set For 2026 (whiskeyriff.com) — Myrtle Beach’s own Carolina Country Music Fest is slated for June 4–7, 2026, bringing headliners Post Malone, Riley Green, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton to the oceanfront. It’s highlighted among more than two dozen major country festivals nationwide, giving locals a sense of how big-name acts and multi-day lineups are converging right here at home next summer.
   

• Coastal Carolina heads to Independence Bowl against Louisiana Tech (wmbfnews.com) — Coastal Carolina’s football team is heading to Louisiana for the Independence Bowl after last season’s loss in the Myrtle Beach Bowl and a 6-6 finish. With interim head coach Jeremiah Johnson leading the Chants through coaching changes, they’ll face Louisiana Tech in a matchup of contrasting offensive and defensive styles this Tuesday at 2 p.m.
