• Wadmalaw Island woman faces murder charge after man found dead in road: CCSO (abcnews4.com) — Charleston County deputies have charged a Wadmalaw Island woman with murder after a man was found dead in a roadway earlier this month, reportedly bearing tire marks. Investigators say GPS data, vehicle evidence, and an autopsy led to her arrest, and they also reference a separate North Charleston shooting case where charges were recently upgraded to murder.
   

• North Charleston researchers launch psychedelic clinical trial to treat severe anxiety (abcnews4.com) — A North Charleston research center is recruiting adults with severe generalized anxiety disorder for a Phase 3 clinical trial using a carefully controlled LSD formulation. Participants make a single monitored visit for the dose, then are followed for 12 weeks, with hopes this approach could offer longer-lasting relief than daily medications and expand mental health options in the Lowcountry.
   

• Palmetto Goodwill launches healthcare training pathway in North Charleston (live5news.com) — A new Palmetto Goodwill healthcare training pathway in North Charleston is helping SNAP recipients, veterans and their families quickly earn certifications for in-demand medical jobs. With flexible schedules and multiple career tracks, more than 300 people have already completed the program and moved into full-time healthcare roles, and over 100 more are currently enrolled.
