• South Carolina Civil Rights Museum receives award (postandcourier.com) — Orangeburg’s South Carolina Civil Rights Museum has won the 2025 David W. Robinson Catalyst Award just as construction advances on its expanded Railroad Corner location downtown. Founded locally by Cecil Williams and Barbara Johnson-Williams, the museum is growing its educational programs, digital archives, and new exhibits to spotlight South Carolina’s civil rights legacy for statewide and global audiences starting in 2026.
