UPDATE: Missing, Elderly Simpsonville Man Found Safe

Authorities had been seeking help locating Rudolph Kelley, 82, who was last seen on Wednesday.

Update: June, 13, 5 p.m.: A missing Simpsonville man, reported missing Wednesday, has been found.

About 4:30 p.m. Thursday, GCSO deputies said 82-year-old Rudolph Kelley had been located and was in good condition.

Original story: An elderly and ill Simpsonville has gone missing and the Greenville Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help locating him.

Rudolph Kelley, 82, was last seen Wednesday, June 12, around 1 p.m. leaving his residence on Two Gait Lane in Simpsonville in his 2003 black Mercury Marauder (tag number CAZ-645), headed towards the Simpsonville Police Department, said GCSO Sgt. Jennings Autrey.

"There is no record of Mr. Kelley arriving at his destination," Autrey said via email.

Kelley is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing approximately 175 pounds.

Kelley has gray hair, brown eyes, and a full, gray beard. 

Kelley also has the beginning signs of dementia as well as diabetes, Autrey said.

Anyone who may have information or know the whereabouts of Kelley is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately at 864-271-5210, or Investigator Fortner at 864.467.5388.
