GCSO Investigates Blackmail, Voyeurism Report

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Simpsonville woman's claims that she is being blackmailed by a former lover, according to an incident report.

On June 21, the 23-year-old victim in this case made a report of voyeurism, via telephone through the GCSO front desk, a GCSO spokesman said. The victim reported that she and the 30-year-old suspect were involved in a romantic relationship earlier in the year and that the suspect contacted her on June 20 and sent her nude pictures that had been taken during their previous relationship, the spokesman said.

According to the victim, the suspect implied that he would post the nude pictures of the victim and a video on Facebook if she did not have sex with him again, the GCSO spokesman said.

At this time, this case is currently under investigation and no arrest has been made.
