Man Arrested in Fatal Hit and Run
One person killed, three others injured, when car struck golf cart Friday night in Fountain Inn.

A Gray Court man is in jail after he allegedly struck a golf cart with his car, killing a woman and injuring three others.
The hit-and-run collision happened Friday night when the golf cart was turning on to Weston Street from Quillen Avenue in Fountain Inn.
Authorities said Saturday they arrested James Stephen Bloodworth in connection with the fatal wreck. He remained without bond in the Greenville County Detention Center on Sunday on three charges of hit and run with personal injury and a charge of hit and run causing death, according to jail records.

The woman killed in the wreck has been identified as Janice Patterson, 75, of Jefferson City, Tenn. Injured were her husband, Truett Patterson, and Erma and Ted Atkinson of Fountain Inn, according to WYFF.
According to Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis, Patterson and her husband were visiting family in Fountain Inn. They and the Atkinsons were returning from a music event, Fridays by the Fountain, in the city, the station reported.

As of Saturday evening, Ted Atkison and Truett Patterson were listed in fair condition and Erma Atkison was listed in serious condition at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
