• Local bars accused of overserving drivers before fatal crash on Morrison Drive in 2024 (abcnews4.com) — Two young women from Simpsonville, lifelong friends visiting Charleston, were killed while walking along Morrison Drive in April 2024, and their families now allege several bars overserved the drivers involved. A newly amended lawsuit claims multiple Charleston-area establishments negligently continued serving alcohol as the men became highly intoxicated before the fatal crashes, seeking accountability and changes to prevent similar tragedies.
