Police Investigating Possible Panty Thief
Simpsonville man tells police he believes suspicious man spotted in neighborhood might be responsible for daughter's missing underwear.

A Simpsonville man told police he believed someone broke into his house and stole his youngest daughter's panties, a Simpsonville Police incident report said.
The father, who lives on Timberjack Street, told police his two daughters had spotted a suspicious man driving through the neighborhood taking photographs, including pictures of his daughters, which scared the girls, the report said.
The father also told police that he noticed that one of his home's windows appeared to be tampered with, although police inspection revealed it could still be secured and that no signs of entry were visible, the report said. The father found two holes that he said appeared to have been drilled in an attempt to deactivate the locks, the report said.
Though police could find no signs of entry, the father insisted that someone had entered his home, the report said.
"[The father] stated he believed this because when he had been doing laundry for his two daughters…he discovered that all but three pairs of his youngest daughter's underwear was missing. [He] stated that he had searched all through the house, but was unable to locate the items," the report stated.
The suspicious man was spotted driving a white SUV, and described as an white male in his 40s or 50s, with gray hair, the report said. The father was able to get a picture of the vehicle's tag, which police were checking, the report said. The case remains under investigation.
