Simpsonville Business Approved as Foreign Trade Zone

Sunland Logistics Solutions Inc. announced that its facility at 1312 Old Stage Road in Simpsonville has been approved to be a Foreign Trade Zone site, GSA Business reported.

A foreign trade zone is considered to be outside the U.S. Customs and Border Protection territory and therefore not subject to certain duties, taxes, and quotas, among other benefits. Foreign Trade Zones were created to encourage international trade.

South Carolina has several FTZ sites across the state.

Sunland Logistics Solutions is a third-party logistics company based in South Carolina. It provides transportation and warehousing services to chemical, automotive, retail and paper companies, among others.
