Simpsonville Crime Blotter: Autobreaking, Thefts… and an Improper Start?
Here are the latest reports of Simpsonville area incidents from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office for July 2-3.

As part of Patch's continuing effort to provide our readers with consistent coverage of crime in our area, we're happy to provide you with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office's daily activity report.
Numerous incidents were reported in the Simpsonville area between July 2-3. They include:
- Autobreaking/grand larceny ($2,350) — 317 Scuffletown Road
- Financial transaction card fraud — 8 Nittany Place
- Petit larceny — 1753 McKelvey Road (Fountain Inn)
- Financial transaction card fraud — 121 Waterton Way
- Petit larceny — 207 Hunslett Way
- Trespassing after notice — 8 Ladybird Court
- *Improper start — Adams Mill Road*
*(Editor's Note: For those unfamiliar with it, an "improper start" is more commonly known as a squealing, smoking tire "peel out" or "burn out," which is undeniably cool on a racetrack or in a movie or the high school parking lot, but potentially dangerous on a street due to the fact that the car temporarily loses traction — and it's illegal in South Carolina. Fast-and-Furious wanna-be's be warned).
