Simpsonville Man, Accomplice, Charged With Murder
Darius Lee Williams was shot and killed this past January during armed robbery.

A Simpsonville man and an accomplice face murder and other charges after their arrest Thursday for the January shooting death of a 31-year-old Greenville man, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said.
Arrested were 18-year-old Marquis Syshawn Blassingame, of Simpsonville, and 17-year-old Michael Mclean Lee, of Greenville, on charges of murder, armed robbery, conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, GCSO investigators said.
On January 8, 2013 the GCSO received a 911 call to 303 Springbrook Drive in the vicinity of East Gantt regarding a man that had been shot inside the residence.
Deputies arrived on scene and located 31-year-old Darius Lee Wlliams, who allegedly had been shot multiple times during a robbery and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Without providing details, GCSO investigators said a death investigation began and through the course of the investigation information was obtained along with documented evidence that led to the arrest of Blassingame and Lee.
"Investigators have worked many long hours to identify and locate the individuals responsible for this crime," said GCSO master Deputy Jonathan Smith.
The two men were each being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on Thursday night without bond.
