Simpsonville Police Bust Meth Ring

Eight people have been charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Simpsonville Police said Tuesday they have broken up a local methamphetamine production operation.

Police announced multiple arrests in a four-month investigation called "Operation Block Party."
After receiving an anonymous tip in February, narcotics investigators began investigating a possible methamphetamine manufacturing organization operating in and around the Woodside Mill area in Simpsonville, according to Lt. Kevin Threlkeld.

A search warrant was served at 210 W. Curtis St. on May 31, in which a meth lab was discovered and Dennis Ryan Penland and Michael Jeremy Penland were arrested. That search warrant, said Threlkeld, led to the discovery of a group of people that were also involved in the manufacturing process.

On Tuesday, Simpsonville Police served eight arrest warrants for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. Those arrested and charged were:

  • Dennis Ryan Penland, 34, of 210 West Curtis Street (incarcerated previously)
  • Randy Lee Cox, 36, of 104 Beattie Street (already incarcerated on unrelated charges)
  • George Fletcher Dean, 35, of 507 West Curtis Street
  • Johnny Walter Parker, 53, of 603 South Street
  • Travis R. Imbragulio, 32, of 321 College Street
  • Joyle Jefferson Eddleman, 25, of 211 Beattie Street
  • Allie Michelle Taylor, 22, of 211 Beattie Street
  • Selena Lynn Eddleman, 36, of 211 Beattie Street
All were arraigned Tuesday and are currently in the Greenville County Detention Center.

There could be more arrests forthcoming, Threlkeld said.
