Fundraising begins Friday.

Biggby Coffee locations in of South Carolina are stepping up to the plate this month as they begin a fundraising partnership with the community’s own Summerville Miracle League, an adaptive baseball program for both children and adults with special needs.

For one month, from Feb. 15-March 15, customers can bring in this flyer (click here)Β and $1 from every Grande or Super specialty beverage purchased will be donated directly to the Summerville Miracle League, and in turn, help provide more athletes the opportunity to become involved in the league and take advantage of the other services offered as well.

β€œThe goal of our program is to bring together athletes and their families in a positive and enriching way,” Troy Powell, Secretary/Treasurer of the league, said. β€œThis is accomplished primarily through the national pastime of baseball, where our athletes get the chance to enjoy the benefits that come from playing the sport, like being part of a team and competing against others.”

The Summerville Miracle League relies on corporate sponsors to fund their teams and create additional opportunities to make a different in lives of local families. Both BIGGBY locations have previously worked the organization, something store franchisee and co-owner, Aaron Marley, said has been a great and rewarding experience.

β€œBeing a part of this community means a lot to us and we are happy to get involved and do what we can to support it,” Aaron Marley, store co-owner, said. β€œThe Miracle League is doing great things here, and we hope our customers will come out strong and help us make a difference in the biggest way possible.”

The fundraising vouchers must be printed out, and will be accepted at both the Summerville (717 Trolly Rd.) and N. Charleston (8465 Dorchester Rd) stores.
