Man Shot 3 Times in Back of Head

An autopsy of the man found shot to death outside his Ridgeville home has revealed the manner of death to be homicide, according to Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet. 

Nisbet reported Jimmy Edwards, 64, was shot three times in the back of the head. The autopsy was scheduled for Sunday morning. 

Edwards died between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Friday night. According to release from the coroner's office, Edwards' family says the man was on his way home when they heard two gun shots outside around 10:50 p.m.

Family members found him on the ground in the yard a short time later.
