As the U.S. Supreme Court wraps up hearing a challenge to California's ban of gay marriage and before it launches into Wednesday's challenge to the federal Defense of Marriage Act, you may have noticed a few of your Facebook friends and Tweeps changing their profile pic to a red equal sign.
The red equal sign is supporting equality for gays and supporting gay marriage.
The picture is being circulated by The Human Rights Campaign, which advocates for equal rights on behalf of LGBT Americans.
