Watch Birds Saturday Along the Sawmill Branch Trail

The Audubon Center at Francis Beidler Forest is offering free bird-watching walks in the town of Summerville — one of which will occur this weekend, 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Sawmill Branch Trail.

These walks are designed to engage the public in learning more about the common birds that live around Summerville. No registration is required; all age and experience levels are welcome.

To participate, just meet the Audubon naturalist at the designated parking area at 7:45 a.m. on the morning of the walk.

Schedule:

  • Azalea Park (Meet at West 5th South Street Parking Lot) — 8-10 a.m. 2nd Saturday of each month until Dec. 14
  • Sawmill Branch Trail (Meet at Bacon's Bridge Access parking area) — 8-10 a.m. 3rd Saturday of each month until Dec. 21 (no walk Oct. 19)
