Eligible 501(c)(3) groups serving Summerville and nearby counties can apply for one-time needs like equipment or special programs, with awards up to $20,000 and recipients to be announced by May 1, 2026.

• DCSO Chief Deputy Bruce Owens receives Order of the Palmetto (postandcourier.com) — Longtime Summerville law enforcement leader Bruce Owens has been awarded the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest civilian honor, recognizing more than 50 years of military and police service.
