What Should Go Here? National Guard Armory on Hickory

What should go at the old National Guard Armory on Hickory Street? 

That question came up during Monday's finance committee meeting of town council. Council decided to review two previous studies on the building — one examining converting the building into a police station and the other looking at using the building as a meeting venue. 

The idea is to see if the building is cheaper to convert or if it is cheaper to build new. Asbestos is allegedly in the building. 

In March, town council will review the need for further study. 

The old armory was returned to the town a few years ago.
