Woman Found Dead Under Chairlift At Tennessee Theme Park: Report

GATLINBURG, TN — A woman was found dead at a Tennessee amusement park on Thursday night, according to a report from WBIR 10 News.

The woman was found underneath a chairlift at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg around 7:41 p.m. by the Gatlinburg Fire Department, according to the report.

Anakeesta is open Friday, but the Chondola, a scenic chairlift at the park that provides views of Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains, is closed, according to a post on the park's Facebook page.

The Gatlinburg Fire Department and Anakeesta did not immediately return inquiries from Patch.
