20-Year-Old Indicted In Fatal Drag-Racing Crash
A 20-year-old is charged with vehicular homicide in the death of an 87-year-old man in Antioch in late July.

NASHVILLE, TN — The Davidson County grand jury indicted a 20-year-old for vehicular homicide after an 87-year-old man died in a crash allegedly caused by drag racing.
Kevin Carcamo-Rodriguez, 20, of Lutie Street, is charged with vehicular homicide by drag racing and vehicular homicide by recklessness.

Police say Carcamo-Rodriguez was traveling west on Antioch Pike in a 2014 Nissan 370 when he hit James Bryan’s Buick sedan which had just turned to travel east on Antioch Pike. Bryan, 87, was pinned inside his car and had to be extricated by the Nashville Fire Department. Though he was conscious at the scene, he died later at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
After the July 31 crash, residents of the area said that the two mile stretch of Antioch Pike, which is almost completely straight, is a hot bed for drag racing.
