Cook's alleged spree began at a Murfreesboro Pike Exxon at 5 a.m. Police say he approached the counter under the guise of buying coffee, then jumped over the counter, punched the cashier and stole money from the register. An hour later, according to police, Cook went to the register at a Thompson Lane Mapco with a candy bar, pulled a crowbar from his pants and took money from the register. A half hour after that, Cook allegedly stood in line with two cups of coffee at a Nolensville Pike Circle K and grabbed money from the register when the cashier was making change for another customer.
