Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:

1. The Franklin, TN Zillow listing of a mansion that went up in flames recently caught the internet's attention. In a previous newsletter, we reported the home found an owner; we now have more information on the owner. Entrepreneur and content creator Mike Thaku, lives in Houston, TX, and is originally from the United Kingdom. Thaku signed a contract this week to purchase the mansion for an undisclosed amount. 2. A fifth grader from Trinity Elementary won first place in the 2022 Civics Essay Contest. Lisa Tateuchi won the third- through the fifth-grade category of the competition, competing against hundreds of students across the state. This year’s prompt was “Why Your Vote Matters." (Williamson Source)
3. Franklin-Tenessee-based band, We the Kingdom will be headlining this year's Christian music mega-tour Winter Jam in Columbus, Ohio. We the Kingdom consists of drummer Martin Cash, 23, his father, uncle, sister, and a family friend.
