  1. On Apr. 4, Williamson Inc. will be hosting its annual Outlook Williamson forum from 7:30 to 11 a.m. in Liberty Hall at the Factory at Franklin. Business owners, leaders, and anyone interested in Williamson County's future are welcome to this event and the information shared about the county. Attendees can gain insights to make informed business decisions, as well as network with professionals in the area while enjoying a delicious breakfast. (williamsonherald.com)
  2. The weekend is finally here, and there are plenty of things to do in Franklin and Williamson County. If you want to stay local in Franklin, today is the City of Franklin's Kids Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where kids grades K-12 can share artwork. There is also the Studio Tenn Smoke on the Mountain show, with showtimes all weekend long at the Franklin United First United Methodist Church. If you want to travel a bit within the county, you can also go on a hike, pick tulips, or take pictures with the Easter bunny. (Williamson Source)
  3. School officials announced that a student was found dead in his dorm at Tennessee State University Thursday afternoon. While the investigation is still ongoing, it is believed the student took her own life. Counseling is available for students around the clock as a way to cope with this tragic situation, and as always, Tennessee has a 24/7 crisis hotline for anyone experiencing mental health emergencies.   • Two notable restaurants are making their way to the Franklin Factory in the coming months. Hattie B's Hot Chicken and Etch will be expanding into Franklin very soon; a limited availability "sampling" will be held for these spots and more on Apr. 15.   • Yesterday, the Franklin Police Department held a retirement ceremony for Officer-2 Rose Steagall, who served the force for more than 18 years. Although she will be missed, all of her peers were happy to see her celebrated the right way. (City of Franklin, TN - Municipal Government via Facebook)
  • Earlier this week, the City of Franklin held a Joint Conceptual Workshop between the Board of Mayor & Aldermen and the Planning Commission.
