  1. Homicide detectives in Nashville reported what was the third shooting reported in the city on the Fourth of July, as 27-year-old Christopher L. Harris was found deceased in his vehicle on Buena Vista Pike with multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting was reported around 7:15 p.m., and witnesses in the area say that they saw around seven individuals open fire on Harris while he was standing next to his car. The suspects dispersed into three different vehicles when fleeing the scene. As of now, no motive has been found to what caused the incident and officers are still looking for information. If you or anyone knows anything about the deadly shooting, please contact the police or Crime Stoppers. (WKRN News 2)
  2. On the Fourth of July, Nashville police responded to a call on Clarksville Pike after a woman threatened to stab another woman at a home. Cierra Crenshaw, 36 years old, reportedly was arguing with the victim all-day after accusing her of stealing her father's ashes as well as other belongings. The situation escalated from an argument when Crenshaw grabbed the large knife from a bedroom and began threatening the victim. Others on the scene stepped in between the two and got the situation under control until officers responded. Admitting to grabbing the knife and threatening to stab the victim, Crenshaw was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon. (WKRN News 2)
  3. The Late Party Chairs for the 50 annual Heritage Ball have officially been announced. Mar Michael and Will Cross have been recognized in Williamson County and received the honor of being named this year's chairs. Will and Mary's family-owned business Oversite has been serving as a development consultant for the Franklin Grove project as well as other things in the Williamson community. As the longest-standing black tie event in Williamson County, Heritage Ball serves as a great opportunity to gather those in the community and raise funds for future projects. The Ball will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park and the late party will begin at 8:00 p.m. Tickets and tables will go on sale for the event in August. (William Source)
