Kayakers Find Body In Harpeth In Franklin
Kayakers found a man's body in the Harpeth River in Franklin Saturday morning, police say.
FRANKLIN, TN — Kayakers paddling the Harpeth River near the Chestnut Bend subdivision discovered a body Saturday morning, Franklin Police announced.
Detectives have made a preliminary identification of the body, which was discovered around 8:20 Saturday morning, but are not releasing the name pending notification of the next of kin. Police did say the body was that of a Franklin man.

Police did not see any obvious indications of foul play, they said, but the body has been turned over to the medical examiner for a determination of cause of death.
