  1. Tyler Myers, a sophomore at The University of Tennessee, was awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship for students in STEM. Myers from nearby Brentwood is studying microbiology and neuroscience with minors in chemistry and public health. (UTK News)
  2. Red Bicycle Coffee & Crepes, a popular coffee and crepes restaurant chain, will open its fourth location in Franklin this summer. This new location will be the first one outside of Nashville, Tennessee. The menu will be similar to the other locations, with more lunch and early dinner options. (The Tennessean)

Actress and writer Tricia Paoluccio talked about playing Dolly Parton in Studio Tenn's new production of "Here You Come Again," which features songs written and recorded by Dolly Parton and others. The show is a touching musical about a has-been comedian and his unique relationship with his longtime idol, Dolly Parton. "Studio Tenn Presents: Here You Come Again" will run from May 17 to May 28 at the Franklin Theatre, and tickets are currently on sale. (News Channel 5)

  • In celebration of his 90th birthday, Willie Nelson has extended his Outlaw Music Festival Tour β€” and Franklin has been added to the list. Tickets will go on sale on Apr. 28. (Fox 17 News)
  • Check out photos from The 2023 Main Street Festival in Franklin that happened over the weekend. The event hoped to beat its attendance record which hit a high of 142,000 people last year.
