- A building on Southeastern Parkway in south Franklin has partially collapsed following recent storms. City engineers are working with the Franklin Fire Department to assess the structure's integrity. There were no injuries reported as a result of the collapse, although there were people in the building at the time of the incident. (News Channel 5)
- A recent study from SmartAsset has named Franklin and Brentwood as the safest suburbs in the state and among the top 25 safest suburbs in the country. Franklin ranked 21st on the national list, while Brentwood came in 16th place. To create this list, SmartAsset considered 370 locations that are within a 15- to 45-minute drive to one of the country's 100 largest cities. (Fox 17)
- Earlier this year, In-N-Out Burger selected Franklin as the site for its Eastern territory corporate office. At Monday's Williamson County Board of Commissioners meeting, Williamson, Inc. CEO and President Matt Largen shared updates on the project's progress. In-N-Out is expecting to finalize the purchase of 28 acres near the Goose Creek Bypass by Jul. 31. Construction is expected to begin in late 2024 on the corporate office and on-site restaurant. The Franklin restaurant, now expected to open in 2025, will be the first In-N-Out east of Texas. - The City of Franklin has announced an upcoming Yoga in the Park event. On Wednesday, Jun. 21 from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., the Park at Harlinsdale Farm will be hosting yoga and wellness activities. Donations will benefit Franklin's first inclusive park, Ellie G's Dream World. (City of Franklin, TN - Municipal Government)
- Friends of Franklin Parks is seeking volunteers for the upcoming Fourth of July celebration at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm. Volunteers are needed for set up, tear down, and to assist with the beer tents and kid's zone. (Friends of Franklin Parks via Facebook)
