- The Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville organized a free Chinese New Year Celebration in nearby Nashville over the weekend. In years past, the event was held at Vanderbilt University, but this year organizers moved it to the park due to the increased number of people who registered to attend the celebration. The Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville will organize another event, the Plaza Mariachi, on Feb. 4 from 3-5 p.m. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- The Broadway Bridge down the road in Nashville will be narrowed down to two lanes in each direction starting Monday, Jan. 30. The lane changes will stay in effect until Jul. 7, when the bridge will be closed entirely until sometime in Sept. The closure and lane shifts are due to the current project to replace the bridge. - With mortgage interest rates higher than they were even a year ago, the housing market is also changing. These five newly-listed homes in the Franklin area are an excellent place to start looking, whether you are looking for a new home or simply keeping up-to-date with the housing market. Available homes include a four-bedroom, three-bathroom house for $950,000 and several Drees Homes builds. (Franklin Patch)
