  1. The city board of aldermen has approved the use of amplification for public expression events without a permit, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., for groups of less than 20 people. This came after Jeff Daniels had been using equipment to amplify music during worship sessions on the public square, which had been against the previous city ordinance. City leaders said Daniels was never in danger of being arrested for public prayer, and the new ordinance does not include spontaneous demonstration events. (Tennessean)
  2. The Williamson County Board of Education has approved a budget for the 2023-2024 operational year that includes a five percent raise for salaried and hourly Williamson County Schools employees and a mid-year two percent raise. The board also discussed the capital budget’s improvements to school security, which would include new cameras and replacements and more secure entries with automatic locking mechanisms and front-facing cameras. The school district released a statement expressing condolences for the shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville and reassuring parents of their commitment to safety and crisis response procedures. (Williamson Herald)
  3. A memorial was held in Franklin's Monticello neighborhood on Mar. 30 to honor the life of Cindy Peak, a victim of the Mar. 27 shooting at The Covenant School in Green Hills. Peak was a Franklin resident and educator who was working as a substitute teacher at the school. The community gathered to remember her and honor her with a community walk around the neighborhood.
