  1. Franklin Police Department has a new device called CoolCop. The devices connect a hose from a patrol car's air conditioning vent to the inside of an officer's bullet-resistant vest. The department's Law Enforcement Assistance Partnership purchased the devices through an $82,000 donation. (Williamson Herald)
  2. Williamson County Sherriff's Office is hosting a National Night Out event on Aug. 2. The event is a collaboration between the department, the Brentwood Police Department, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Nolensville Police Department. National Night Out will be at Nolensville Park between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (Williamson Home Page)
