  1. On Wednesday, Williamson County Commissioner Christopher Richards hosted a town hall meeting to discuss voting integrity and equipment. The event at the Williamson County Administrative Complex was attended by citizens, the Williamson County Election Commission, and 12 county commissioners. The election commission suggested purchasing ES&S voting systems, which were used in the previous election, for approximately $1.5 million; commissioners will vote on whether to make the purchase permanent in late spring.   2. A community outreach event for the Envision Franklin Update is scheduled for Mar. 22 at Columbia State Community College, with two sessions available. The meeting's goal is to gather opinions on planning issues, including key planning concerns, housing, conservation, growth areas, and regional commerce. Attendees at the afternoon session (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) will receive a light lunch, and those at the evening session (5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.) will be given snacks. (Franklin Tomorrow via Facebook)
  3. The 7th annual Nashville Elvis Festival will take place from Mar. 30 to Apr. 2 at Liberty Hall in The Factory at Franklin. Fans of Elvis Presley from all over the world will converge at the event to honor his music and legacy. Attendees can enjoy recreations of some of the King's most famous performances, as well as watch the preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Tickets for the four-day extravaganza are currently available for purchase at NashvilleElvisFestival.com. (EIN News)
