- Charlene Forehand is the first-ranked female firefighter in Franklin. Lt. Forehand supervises Westhaven's Station 8. She has been with the Franklin Fire Department for 24 years. Lt. Forehand views her work as her "dream job" and is reportedly very fortunate to be able to do what she's doing for her community. (williamsonherald.com)

- The Franklin Farmers Market is every Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The market is located behind the Factory at Franklin. Mark your calendar! (Franklin Farmers Market via Facebook)
- Franklin Tomorrow reminds the community that local author Marsha Carroll will be at the Williamson County Animal Center on Thursday to read "The Adventures of Rembrandt the Tuxedo Cat". She will be reading the story at 5:00 p.m. (Franklin Tomorrow via Facebook)
- The City of Franklin will be celebrating the 4th of July at Harlinsdale Farm. Fireworks will begin around 9:00 p.m. Concessions will be available for participants but the community is reminded that outside alcohol is not allowed in City Parks. (City of Franklin)
