  1. A new video released by Franklin police shows the suspect accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy at a movie theater. The incident occurred at the AMC Thoroughbred 20, where the suspect approached the victim and his friends before following them into the theater and assaulting the boy in the restroom. The police are still searching for the suspect, and advocates emphasize the importance of victims coming forward to remove the blame from themselves and place it on the perpetrator. (WSMV)
  2. Middle Tennessee has recently seen three water-related deaths, including a Franklin man who got caught up in a homemade zipline on the Herpeth River. Officials emphasize the importance of wearing life jackets as a crucial safety measure that could save lives. With an increase in boating activities during the summer, it is essential to prioritize safety by wearing life jackets, avoiding alcohol consumption, and being vigilant of swimmers and hazardous conditions in the water.   3. Google Fiber is headed to Franklin. The announcement was made by Mayor Dr. Ken Moore at the State of the City event, highlighting the benefits that the gigabit internet service will bring to the community.
