Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- The Franklin Art Crawl is returning Friday (Apr. 7) with a lineup of businesses and artists along Main Street. The Art Crawl, operated by The Williamson County Arts Council on the first Friday of every month, will last from 6-9 p.m. The event will offer complimentary refreshments, live music, and a free trolley to each stop. Franklin Road Apparel, Hester & Cook, and Twine Graphics will be among the businesses in attendance. (williamsonherald.com)
- The next community outreach meeting for the Envision Franklin Update is scheduled for Thursday, Apr. 13 at 6 p.m. online. This virtual meeting will be facilitated by housing consultant Deborah Myerson from Myerson Consulting. The meeting aims to share information about current housing statistics in Franklin, gauge housing preferences, share national trends and statistics, and engage with citizens using live polling. - The Williamson County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) is seeking the public's help following a weekend shooting at a Williamson County residence. According to the WCSO, deputies were called to the Falls Grove neighborhood of College Grove after shots were fired into a home. The founder of The Tennessee Holler, a progressive news outlet, said his house was the one targeted. According to a statement he posted online, his children were asleep when the shooting happened. The sheriffβs office believes the shooting took place on Saturday, Apr. 1 between 10 p.m. and 10:30 pm. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Robert Daub by calling (615) 790-5554, ext. 3221, or by emailing robert.daub@williamsoncounty-tn.gov. (WKRN News 2)
