  1. A Franklin man has been arrested after being connected to an attempted home invasion that ocurred on Apr. 6 in Noblesville, IN. According to a non-local news report, 22-year-old Ruai Ngundeng Pal, of Franklin, and Grayson Rhue, 18, of Roswell, GA, were dressed as DoorDash delivery drivers, complete with a bag of Taco Bell "Quesaritos" and two Baja Blast Freeze drinks, when they forced their way into the home. Rhue was killed when a person in the home shot him. Court documents show about two weeks before the botched home invasion, a man similar in description to Pal was spotted trying to enter a bedroom window in the same home. (WGN-TV)
  2. Franklin's At-Large Alderman Gabrielle Hanson is facing calls to resign by community members who say she is spreading unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about The Covenant School shooting. On both a radio show and a podcast last week, Hanson said the motive behind the shooting was a love triangle between certain staff members and the shooter. She also asserted the locations of the victims at the time of the shooting. At a Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on Tuesday, City Administrator Eric Stuckey said the city had received 25 formal ethics complaints about Hanson. (Williamson Herald)
  3. Eleven Williamson County Republican Party officials resigned Tuesday citing fraud and conflicts of interest from state executive committee members Cyndi Miller and Steve Allbrooks. According to a resignation letter, Allbrooks and Miller had previously agreed to abide by "bona fide" standards for being considered Republican, but then voiced a desire for less stringent criteria. "There is no way to make right this process," Jay Galbreath said after stepping down from the contest and credentials committee. (Williamson Herald)
