Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:

  1. As part of the development process for its new five-year strategic plan, Williamson County Schools will host a series of five community input sessions throughout the month of February. One will take place at Franklin High School on Feb. 13 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. More information about the Strategic Plan and the planning process is available on the WCS website. (Williamson Source)
  2. Jack and Sam Medalie, two brothers on the Franklin High School boys' basketball team, helped lead the Admirals to a 63-41 victory against visiting Brentwood on Friday. The brothers, who started their high school careers with the Brentwood Bruins, scored over 40 combined points against their former team to claim a District 11-4A victory and season sweep. The Admirals have won three of their last four games and will play against top-ranked Independence tomorrow, Feb. 7.(williamsonherald.com)
  3. A pop-up bar called The Wandering Star will be open at the Factory at Franklin through the end of February. The drinks-only bar, which features a menu of four specialty cocktails and two wine offerings, is accessible from an entrance near Honest Coffee Roasters. The Wandering Star is open Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Williamson Source)
