- Franklin is seeking volunteers for the Franklin Public Arts Commission. Selected volunteers serve for three years, providing the city with guidance for public outdoor art displays. Interested applicants have until Feb. 17 to submit a one-page letter of interest and qualifications to city officials. (Press Release Desk)
- Several restaurants and chefs in nearby Nashville were named semi-finalists for the James Beard Awards this week. Chosen restaurants include Slim & Husky's in nearby Nashville and Nashville-based Mexican food truck Maiz De La Vida. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- A rideshare company based down the road in South Nashville reportedly shut down without notice on Jan. 19. Former employees said that they weren't told the company was shutting down, and several said they are still owed pay for at least three weeks. (WZTV)
