Franklin Star Student 'Gives Her Time & Talents To Make Life A Joy'
Natalie, an 11th grader, is also an outstanding athlete and regular volunteer with. Best Buddies Club.

Franklin, Tennessee β Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and weβre working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
She has been recognized in the middle school and high school as a good citizen. In the fifth grade she won best student of the school. Natalie helps with the Best Buddies club at FHS socializing with special education students after school hours. They have holiday parties and a prom. She also works with a student during Sunday school hour at her church for 3 years now. Her passion is helping special needs students. She started a bouldering club at FHS in her junior year. She organizes their meetings, plans activities and has challenges for the 18 member group. Recently she had an Easter challenge and provided snacks. She was nominated to work with GRIT, as an ambassador for high school girls to join the mountain bike teams for the Tennessee Biking Association. The girls had activities to spur an interest in biking. She competed with the FHS team. Last year she won first place in her age group in Clearwater, Florida for running the half marathon. In May she competing in the local triathlon. Natalie won second and third place in the art show at FHS. Sheβs hiking part of the Appalachian Trail 10 miles a day from the first time. Sheβs an all around caring and loving girl who shares her talents with others for a better enjoyment of life.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Sheβs a beautiful girl inside and out who loves all people and gives her time and talents to make life a joy.
