  1. Franklin's beloved Cool Cafe closed on Tuesday. The last two STEAK nights were held last Friday and Saturday by reservation only. The cafe opened 16 years ago and had been operating in the same location on Hillsboro Road since its opening. The establishment was known for its STEAK nights. (The Tennessean)
  2. Franklin has been given 5th place in a list ranking the most expensive home values in Tennessee. According to the list, the typical home in Franklin costs $858,240. That price has increased by 43.8 percent over the last year. The list uses data compiled through Zillow. Lookout Mountain was ranked in the 4th spot and Brentwood earned the top spot.   3. Both the Tennessee Republican and Democratic parties are sharing their frustrations about Governor Lee's education advisor's comments during a Franklin luncheon. The bipartisan outrage is regarding Hillsdale College President Dr. Larry Arnn claiming that the state's educators "are trained in the dumbest parts of the dumbest colleges in the country." He also compared public education to the plague. The Republican party is even demanding that the state end its relationship with Hillsdale College. (Williamson Home Page)
