- This Saturday, the Franklin Transit service will be offering free rides on fixed routes honoring the late Rosa Parks' birthday. TMA's group executive director Debbie Henry said, "We honor Rosa Parks for taking a stand by keeping her seat." - Officials with Top Trump and Hasbro announced on Tuesday Nashville is getting its own Monopoly board on Oct. 1. The announcement was made at the Parthenon as Top Trump representative Brooke Gorman is aiming to have the board represent everything locals love about their city. Anything and everything is in consideration for landmarks on the board, to submit your recommendations for properties on the board you can email Nashville@toptrumps.com. (WSMV 4)
- Republican lawmakers file a bill criminalizing drag and cabaret performances in public places. This bill was proposed due to a public performance that was deemed inappropriate according to Sen. Jack Johnson, R-Franklin. This new law can particularly be harmful during pride month and other pride events, as performers could be charged with misdemeanors and even felonies. If this bill is passed and becomes a law, it will go into effect on Jul. 1. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- A woman was shot and seriously injured late Monday night near Green Hills during a robbery attempt. Around 11:00 p.m., a 26-year-old woman was shot several times in her arm and leg when a scuffle ensued between the woman and two men who emerged from a dark-colored sedan on the corner of Trimble Road and Esteswood Drive. The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries while the suspects still remain at large. Please be mindful of your surroundings and careful walking alone at night. (WSMV 4)

- The city of Franklin is searching for nine volunteers in Williamson County with experience in an art-related discipline to serve on the Franklin Public Arts Commission. These members are appointed by the mayor to serve three-year terms.
