  1. Franklin Special School District has passed its 2022-2023 budget. The district's board of education passed the new budget after months of debate. The new budget includes a 4 percent living increase for all district employees and does not include a tax increase. Click the following link for a full budget breakdown. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Williamson County posted a 2.8 unemployment rate last month. Williamson County's rate was the lowest rate in the state. Perry County had the highest unemployment rate at 6.8 percent. The majority of the state's counties posted a rate below 5 percent. (TN.gov)
  3. Franklin's Saint Goose wine shop has sued the state's Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The commission sent a letter to the wine shop in February about the store potentially charging customers for product sampling, which is a violation of state code. The commission ordered the store to halt certain activities. The lawsuit claims that the store is not breaking state code with its wine sampling courses. (Williamson Home Page)
