  1. In response to the fatal shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, a "Common sense" gun law rally in Franklin was held at the public square on Saturday morning. Locals Jared Sullivan and his wife, Caroline, along with other county residents organized the event to "advocate for goodness and peace." This event followed a protest at the state capitol on Thursday to raise awareness after the tragedy. (Tennessean)
  2. A Franklin man was arrested for organizing street racing events in Nashville. Keller S. Moore is accused of organizing and promoting meet-ups via social media. The events orchestrated by the 21-year-old brought hundreds of people to city parking lots. He faces five counts of inciting a riot resulting from the unsanctioned dangerous gatherings. (WSMV 4)
  3. A life-saving jump out of a bedroom window saved a Franklin man's life, as he was able to escape a house fire on Sunday. A fire in the Royal Oaks subdivision on Churchill Place broke out at around 1:00 a.m., with smoke and flames bursting from within the building.
