- On Monday, Jun. 12, between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., multiple cars were burglarized down the road in Nolensville, Ballenger, and Burberry neighborhoods. Police are still investigating and are asking individuals that are in and around Nolensville to check their security or ring cameras if they have them to catch anything that may seem suspicious. If you have any information, locals are also being asked to email Detective Combs at Jcombs@nolensvilletn.gov with any information you may have. (Williamson Source)
- On Saturday, Jun. 10, the Franklin County first responders, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, and the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency were all dispatched to a discovered man's body in the Tims Ford Lake that was found around 2:30 p.m. There has been no additional information about how this occurrence happened or the circumstances of the tragic event. Due to this, emergency officials have now urged individuals to wear a life jacket if they are out in the water. (WKRN News 2)
- On Monday, Jun. 12, Nashville's Metro Council sued the state due to an alleged violation of the home rule clause and Tennessee Constitution, which ensures sure local governments aren't singled out by state laws. There has historically been a bipartisan vote when it comes to the decisions surrounding the Nashville International Airport, which has been successful for over 50 years. Under a new law, state officials can appoint six members of the airport board. This is currently a situation that is being debated by all of the parties involved. (Axios)
