  1. The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development announced its decision to give $2.75 million in incentive funding to In-N-Out Burgers for use in establishing its new office in Franklin. The California-based burger chain announced earlier this year it would move into the eastern part of the United States and estimated its first opening date for restaurants in the region for 2026, potentially bringing in $125.5 million in investment into Tennessee.   2. The new Franklin Vision Care hosted a ribbon cutting for its new location last week. Dr. Annedrea Morreale, the new boutique optical practice owner, talked about her childhood dream of becoming an optometrist and her specialty in ocular disease as the critical factor that sets her apart from other practices.   3. The Franklin Special School District is currently accepting enrollment for preschoolers 4-5 years old into the district's Preschool Positive Peer Role Model Program. The program's tuition is $3,000 with an additional sliding fee scale for eligible families, and the schedule for the program is six hours, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, with classes beginning in August.
